Special Guests speakers

We are very happy to welcome two outstanding speakers who will share their expertise and real-world experiences in academic scheduling and student engagement (and there will be more guest speakers to come - stay tuned!).

Helen Kirby-Hawkins, Manchester Metropolitan University

Based on real-world case studies, Helen’s session dives into the evolving student experience, exploring the challenges students face in balancing their university commitments with personal responsibilities. Her thought-provoking presentation challenges institutions to reconsider how they support students - meeting them where they are rather than where we expect them to be.
‍

Helen Wills, University of Gloucestershire

Helen will take us through her university’s TimeEdit implementation journey - covering both the wins and the challenges encountered along the way. She’ll highlight key lessons from rolling out Preferences and how her team tackles the transition away from spreadsheets. A special focus will be placed on the Allocate module, breaking down how it’s used, the role of timetablers, staff and the student experience.

On the beautiful west coast of Sweden

We listen to your feedback, and we are returning back home to the beautiful southwest coast of Sweden. Beautifully situated on the beaches of BĂĄstad, Hotel Skansen offers a state-of-the-art meeting place in an inspiring, joyful, and relaxing environment.

Hotel Skansen

During the downtime, there’s plenty of activities, ranging from a visit at the rooftop spa, to the sauna experience at the cold bathhouse or hitting the beautiful trails for running.  Read more about the venue at their website, found here.

Hotel Riviera

We also to offer accommodations at Hotel Riviera, just a scenic 20-minute walk from the main venue (or a 6 minute ride with the shuttle bus going back and forth). Like Skansen, Riviera boasts a serene, inviting beachside atmosphere in the beautiful surroundings of BĂĄstad
